The TEC++US project (Technology from Everyone to Each and Everyone of Us) is a European initiative funded by the Erasmus+ program, aimed at making technology more accessible and inclusive for all, particularly for individuals with cognitive disabilities or communication difficulties. The first edition of the project took place between 2018 and 2020, while the second phase, called TEC++US 2.0, has been underway from 2021 to 2023. The project received the “Inclusive 2020 E+ Award” from the Portuguese National Erasmus+ Agency.
TEC++US focuses on developing tools and resources that facilitate daily communication and interaction through the use of pictographic languages. These tools are designed to be used in various contexts, including communication, education, leisure, transportation, and well-being, with the goal of supporting the autonomy and social inclusion of individuals with specific communication needs.
One of the main outcomes of the project is the development of the TEC++US App, which provides visual materials and resources to support communication and learning in different areas of daily life.
